Since graduating from the University of Southern California’s School of Dramatic Arts Bachelors in Arts program, Elmir has dedicated herself to a creatively balanced career as a filmmaker, writer, actor, and educator.
Born and raised in Miami, this Latinx/Arab artist wants to proudly represent both her cultures. Elmir exhibits this in her new full-length play “niveles”, a semi-finalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwright’s Conference.
Also, Elmir and her writing partner Makena Metz’s “The Yearbook Committee” placed as a quarter-finalist for the ISA Emerging Screenwriters Comedy Screenplay Competition.
She’s currently thriving as a middle/high school English and Theatre teacher and has some exciting creative projects in production.
